Barbara is a ‘tanztheatre’ dancer. David is a scientist in his fifties, a man of great depth and cultural openness, but lives locked in his rational world. The two live happily together for two years in Trieste. One day bursts into their lives Nadir, a friend of Barbara, Kurdish refugee, who has no place to go. Barbara and David offer him hospitality, but the living is not easy. The presence of Nadir is sometimes cumbersome for the couple and David begins to be obsessed with him.
