Mero, a skilled worker in a shipyard, is a single father. Lorenzo, the son born from a relationship with an Albanian girl, is his only reason for living and he dreams that the boy will become a boxing champion. He trains hard, teaching him day after day to throw punches and protect himself from life’s low blows. The balance of this relationship is disturbed by the return of Denisa, Lorenzo’s mother, and by the son and the young Ana. Mero’s trials are not over and will have to deal with the pain, with their own prejudices and with the remoteness of our North East.
