A mother brings her daughter’s self-destructive in a deserted village in a foreign country ( Italy ) , and locks her in a house in the middle of nowhere . What begins as the desperate attempt of a mother to save her daughter, it becomes more and more an extraordinary spiritual adventure , which awakes profound sentiments. Inspired by the writings of Marcel Proust , the film is not so much the study of a relationship between mother and daughter , as a poem of two souls
