The film tells the story of a teacher with a painful past who moves to a mountain village where an unshakeable serenity reigns. Soon, he discovers that behind the apparent serenity lies a disturbing secret. The inhabitants of the village alleviate their suffering by entrusting it to Matteo Corbin, an introverted teenager whom everyone considers an angel. It is believed that a hug from him is enough to be freed from all pain. Moved by compassion, the teacher undertakes to rescue the boy from collective abuse, but soon the entire community will have to be saved from its own “angel”.
